0.22 Micron Hydrophobic Expanded PTFE Membrane with Polypropylene Support Layer
Our company is a professional manufacturer of PTFE membranes, which are robust hydrophobic membrane filters that are widely used in gas sterilization and liquid clarification. Our PTFE membranes are made of high-quality expanded polytetrafluoroethylene ( ePTFE) laminated onto a nonwoven polypropylene or PET support material, which provides additional strength and durability. The combination of these two materials ensures that the ePTFE membrane remains intact and retains its shape, even under extreme conditions. Moreover, the nonwoven polypropylene support layer increases the overall dimension stability of the membrane, preventing the membrane from curling or losing its shape during processing, making further processing more seamless and efficient, and also enable the filter membrane to withstand the high-pressure conditions often encountered during gas sterilization and liquid clarification processes without breaking or rupturing.
In addition to their strength, our ePTFE membranes also possess a temperature resistance of up to 130°C. This makes them suitable for use in a wide range of environments and applications, including industrial and commercial settings where high temperatures may be present.
Another advantage of our ePTFE membranes is their resistance to most aggressive acids, alkalis, and solvents. This makes them particularly effective for use with aggressive solvents, liquids, and gases where other types of membranes may not perform as well.
In addition to their chemical resistance and durability, ePTFE membrane filters also possess hydrophobic characteristics that make them particularly useful in applications involving air venting and aqueous aerosols filtration. In venting applications, the membrane's hydrophobicity helps to prevent the passage of airborne particles, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
